About the event
Motherhood can sometimes feel isolating and overwhelming, especially during the first few months. Connecting with other moms who are on a similar journey can be very supportive to your mental health during this major transition.
This in-person 8 week session is geared to new or reoccurring moms with babies who are 6 months or younger. We believe it is important to share and support one another when babies are in a similar phase developmentally but also connect with moms who may be a bit further along in their journey to share their knowledge and experiences. We'll discuss topics like feeding, postpartum recovery, relationship changes and pelvic floor therapy. Guest speakers will join us from the community to provide education and resources to support you on your journey. \
We will meet weekly on Fridays at 12:00pm - 1:30pm at the Pelvic Floor Place in Vancouver, WA adjacent to King's Way Christian School, starting July 11. Babies are encouraged to join mom during this meet up.
The weekly sessions will be facilitated by Ryanne Smith, president/executive director at Seedling Psychological Services.

Ryanne is a perinatal mental health specialist, serving as the president and executive director of Seedling Psychological Services, as well as being a wife and mother of two. With more than ten years of experience working with vulnerable communities and managing state services, Ryanne became involved in perinatal mental health following her own intense postpartum experience. She is dedicated to helping parents and caregivers find joy, with a personal mission to guarantee access to care.
Ryanne and her husband Jonathan moved from San Diego to Vancouver in 2017. While they still miss the weather, they’ve found their community and embraced the four seasons of the Pacific Northwest. Their kids, Vivian (5) and Henry (3), love track Saturdays and anything with wheels. Their newest addition, a Berne doodle puppy named Honeybear, adds to the joyful chaos of their lively, laughter-filled home.
