About the event
Finally here! Our new mom group - BIG BABY Mom Group. They are no longer fragile, little things. They are big, scrumptous babies who may be cruising around, or not (yet).
This is a time when you may be feeling a little bit better getting out of the house, antsy to socailize. It may also be a little *cough* boring...what to do with the time? Come join other moms who have bigger babies, who are at a similar milestone as you are.
We will meet weekly on Fridays at 12:00pm - 1:30pm at the Laurelhurst Club in NE Portland from October 25th - December 20th, excluding Novermber 29th, the Friday after Thanksgiving.
This in-person 8 week session is geared to new or reoccurring moms with babies who are 6 months to 1 year old. We believe it is important to share and support one another when babies are in a similar phase developmentally but also connect with moms who may be a bit further along in their journey to share their knowledge and experiences. Guest speakers will join us from the community to provide education and resources to support you.
We'll discuss a varitey of topics around you and baby;
how to regain your identity and celebrate the new you
reclaiming your body
starting solids
activities to busy your baby
Besides specific topics, you will have the chance to share your own experience, gain insight and support from other moms. This time is dedicated to you. To celebrate the wins and commiserate the lows.
The weekly sessions will be hosted by owner of Papillon Collective, Caitlin Cunningham.
About Caitlin Cunningham
Caitlin started Papillon Collective in August of 2022 when she was pregnant with her second baby to re-do the experience she had during her first pregnancy and postpartum journey. She struggled through the first few months of postpartum, unaware of her lack of resources and community until it really matter. With a background in human experience design, Caitlin's passion is to create meaningful gatherings. For over 10 years, she navigated the corporate world, facilitating and creating spaces to support the users which inhabited them. Transitioning into motherhood was one of the hardest transitions for her and she is passionate about making it less lonely and difficult for others.
